Smooth the bubbles

A Just My Style kit that didn’t press flat? Start here

A sticker with a bubble under it is not ruined — you just lift the corner and smooth it out. Most kit hiccups are the same. Before anything goes back in the mail, take five minutes with the list below; quite often the “missing” piece turns up, and if it does not, you will have everything ready for the store.

Before anything goes back in the box

  • Read the contents list printed on the box, then hold it next to the “in the box” list on our kit page.
  • Lift the plastic or cardboard insert. Cords, charm bags and tiny keys love to slide underneath it.
  • Open every compartment of the storage case one at a time instead of tipping it over.
  • Count only what the box counts by number — bottles, stamps, cords, keys — not the hundreds of loose beads.
  • Check the instruction booklet itself; sticker sheets and transfers often travel tucked inside it.
  • Write down the exact name of whatever is missing or damaged, just as the box spells it.

Where we can help

  • Help you identify a part when you are not sure what it is or what it is for.
  • Walk you through a confusing step, a knot or a dye fold that is not behaving.
  • Suggest a fresh project for leftover beads, stickers or thread.
  • Tell you which of our other kits play nicely with what you already have.

Where the partner store takes over

  • Returns and exchanges, through the order page of the partner store you bought from.
  • Refunds and how long they take.
  • Replacements for missing or broken pieces.
  • Warranty claims for a defective kit.

Photos that speed things up

  1. The box from the outside, including any dents, tears or a broken seal — and the shipping carton if it arrived crushed.
  2. All the contents spread on a table beside the printed contents list.
  3. A close, well-lit shot of the damaged item: a leaking dye bottle, a dry marker, a chipped bank.
  4. The label or item number on the box, so the store can match it to your order.

Return windows, refund timing and replacement decisions are set by the store you ordered from, so its order page has the final word. For everything that happens after the box is open — a knot, a smudge, a “what is this piece?” — write to us and we will help.
