Why we made it

Consider this a sticker moment in the most literal sense. The ready-to-paint mermaid tail bank arrives blank, and we included three metallic paints — blue, purple and pink — with a paintbrush, so you can mix your own aquatic hues and holographic swirls. Go ombré, go scales, go full ocean sunset; there is a little bit of magic in every stroke, and no two tails come out the same.

When the paint is dry, the finale: peel the protective backing off the sequin flip decal and press it onto the smooth side of the bank. Run a finger across the sequins and watch them change color.
